First up is the amazing Rocket high rise skinny in all black. Cut from Citizens' fabulous sculpt stretch fabric, these skinnies will fit around every curve so smoothly that you'll swear these puppies are meant to be pajamas. Plus, the high rise cut is always flattering on the mid section and helps to keep the muffin top at bay. ;-)

Next up is the Rocket high rise skinny in a fun cropped length for summer. Cut from a medium/dark washed denim, these jeans are made from Citizens' prized 98% Cotton blend, a great break from the super stretchy jeans these babies will break in in all the right places and hold their shape much longer.

Are skinny jeans not your cup of tea? Well have no fear because the Agnes slim straight if just the thing you're looking for. Also cut from Citizens' true blue 98% Cotton denim that I love, this mid rise jean is the perfect summer pant with its cropped length.

Wholly New Brand: AGOLDE Jeans!

We're proud to announce that we'll now be carrying 

A GOLD E jeans! Their premium denim is made in Los Angeles, California, and retails for a fraction of the price of other designer jeans. We're the first in New England to carry these so come try on a pair and tell us what you think!

First, we got their Isabel Slim Boyfriend jean, which features a light distressing on the leg and at the hem. This pant looks great cuffed up or down with ankle boots, flats, sandals, or sneakers; their casual comfort makes them a go-to for any day.

Next we have their Sophie Crop High-Rise Skinny in a distressed white for summer, with the very on trend raw hem. These fun skinnies would look amazing with a colorful tank and cute wedges this summer!

Wholly New Premium Denim!

Hold onto your belt loops because we have three new styles from our best-selling premium denim brand, AG Jeans, that are sure to knock your socks off!

First up is the Legging Ankle in a beautiful grey denim. This fit is an ankle length, but is the perfect full length skinny for anyone 5'5" and under. But have no fear if you are on the taller side because you can still wear this pant year round by tucking it into a boot in the colder months. 

Also in the Legging Ankle style is this beautiful light wash that will give you warm weather vibes during these colder months. While this style is a low rise, it is purposefully cut higher in the back to make sure that you stay covered no matter what you're doing throughout the day!

Lastly, we have the Harper in a classic denim. This straight leg fit is a perfect compromise for anyone who wants to try a skinny jean but doesn't want the pants tight all the way down to the ankle. Plus it's a mid-rise, so no need to worry about these cutting in and giving you a muffin top!

To Distress or Not To Distress? New Denim at Wholly Tara!

New to Wholly Tara this week: two new styles of AG Jeans and two new styles of J Brand Jeans. We have a denim style to fit every BODY.

You asked and we delivered! By request we order two distressed styles of denim from AG Jeans who specialize in making new jeans look naturally worn in. The above style are the Ex-Boyfriend Slim in 10 Years Parched Wood. What's great about these jeans is that they are similar to our best-selling Tomboy jean from AG but in an updated silhouette: these feature a slimmer straighter leg, lower, larger pockets, and are not a drop crotch like the Tomboy. 

For those of you who don't like the slouchy, boyfriend look, we also ordered AG's Legging Ankle (one of our best selling styles) in 11 Years Swap Meet. What makes this style a best seller is that even though it is a low rise, these jeans are cut on an angle so they actually come up to a mid rise in the back, giving you all the coverage you desire. These also come in a soft, stretchy denim that will accommodate all your curves with ease. Also, don't be frightened but the ankle length, as you can see in the picture above, they are still long enough to wear all the way down without them looking like flood pants.

For those of you who don't like distressing but also want a slouchy jean, don't fear because we also have the Cropped Ellis in Rival from J Brand. These light wash slouchy pants look amazing cuffed up with an ankle boot and a pullover sweater for this time of year and when it warms up you can wear them with sandals or wedges and a tank. 

Also in from J Brand are these high rise cropped ankle zip skinnies. Made from a super soft denim that has a lot of stretch but still retains the feel of a true denim. These high rise skinnies features a blue grey wash that makes them dark enough to wear in the fall/winter yet light enough to wear in the spring/summer.

Wholly Mixed Prints!

An easy way to make a bold fashion statement is to mix prints, which can be done as simply as pairing a floral scarf with a striped cardi like we did here. 

In this photo we styled the Wooden Ships Striped Cotton Wrap Cardigan over a cream lace trim tank with a floral scarf that also has black and cream in it. The trick to mixing prints is to always make sure that your prints are in the same color scheme, otherwise you end up clashing! To style the rest of the outfit, I just picked a denim that had a light blue grey wash that matched the blue color in the scarf, and picked a rusty brown belt and a pair of boots to also pull color from the scarf and make the whole look cohesive. 

Want to try a different color scheme? Use the same sweater only in its dove grey and bright white color option. This will allow you to mix and match with a totally different scarf and jeans.

The jeans pictured above are the Maria high rise skinny from J Brand in Disclosure which is a light and bright blue/grey wash that I love for spring/summer. What I love most about this particular pant is that the fabric is super soft and stretchy while still retaining the weight and feel of a true denim--there's no need to worry about these sagging or bagging out. 

You can't leave the house without a purse, so I styled with the above outfit is this beautiful black leather crossbody bag from Bed Stu. The big whip-stitched details give it an ethnic look and show just how much hand detailing goes into making their bags. 

Also picture is the Bed Stu Arcane ankle boot, and the Bed Stu Grace stitched belt, which I love because the holes in the belt are part of the design and therefore go all the way around the entire belt, allowing you to go up and down sizes easily.

Be Bold In Teal!

Be adventurous in some bold and bright colors this spring! We love this side ruched tee from Lilla P. because the ruching hides any lumps and bumps and the super soft Pima Cotton washes and wears so nicely. 

 Also pictured in this look is a fun, floral scarf (in store only) and a leather cross body bag from Bed Stu with interesting whip stitch detailing. 

Lastly, this look needs some amazing J Brand Jeans like the mid-rise rail in oblivion pictured here. The jeans are great because the rail silhouette gives you the look of a skinny jean with out being skin tight all the way down the leg.

Be chic and casual in our new linen button up from CP Shades! It's easy to wear and easy to care for, just throw it on over your favorite tank with your best jeans and when you're done you can machine wash and dry.

This light weight basic looks beautiful with just about anything, but we love it with a light and bright floral scarf for spring! Also shown above is a pair of purple flip flops from Havaianas and this gorgeous purple leather bag from Sorial. It's embossed to look like snake skin, but no actual snakes were harmed in the making of this bag. Plus, in addition to being worn as a cross body bag, as shown in the picture, the shoulder strap can be removed and it can be worn as a tote.

Last but not least are those gorgeous J Brand jeans shown above. Just in for spring, this high rise relaxed flare is a comfy and casual-chic take on denim. The high rise helps to slim your mid section while the relaxed fit through the legs doesn't cling or pinch.

Florals, Flippies, and Fun Colors: Can You Tell We're Ready For Spring?

 

Kick back and TGIF in this casual Friday look. Centered around our Wooden Ships Ruana poncho in this beautiful cornflower blue, this look is all about transitioning into spring. Stay warm in the Wool/Acyrlic/Mohair blend of this beautiful sweater, but think warmer weather with a colorful pair of flip flops, a floral scarf, and a pretty lace bralette layered underneath. 

The Ruana poncho is one size fits all and is available in these two gorgeous colors: Azalea and Cornish Blue. Both are wardrobe staples! Wear it over a long sleeve tee with jeans and boots for colder weather and then wear over a tank with cropped denim or cut offs and sandals for spring/summer.

The Perfect Sweater for Denim!

Just in from our best-selling sweater brand, Wooden Ships, is the Dylan cardigan. It comes in this beautiful tweed print with two different shades of blue mixed together, which allows it to go with any wash of denim, dark or light.

Wholly Pop of Colorful Vintage Boots!

Every outfit needs a pop of color to spice it up. Usually, we do this with scarves, jewelry, or layering tanks, but you can also pop your outfit with a pair of colorful vintage boots.
