An easy way to make a bold fashion statement is to mix prints, which can
be done as simply as pairing a floral scarf with a striped cardi like
we did here.
In this photo we styled the Wooden Ships Striped Cotton Wrap Cardigan over a cream lace trim tank with a floral scarf that also has black and cream in it. The trick to mixing prints is to always make sure that your prints are in the same color scheme, otherwise you end up clashing! To style the rest of the outfit, I just picked a denim that had a light blue grey wash that matched the blue color in the scarf, and picked a rusty brown belt and a pair of boots to also pull color from the scarf and make the whole look cohesive.
Want to try a different color scheme? Use the same sweater only in its dove grey and bright white color option. This will allow you to mix and match with a totally different scarf and jeans.
The jeans pictured above are the Maria high rise skinny from J Brand in Disclosure which is a light and bright blue/grey wash that I love for spring/summer. What I love most about this particular pant is that the fabric is super soft and stretchy while still retaining the weight and feel of a true denim--there's no need to worry about these sagging or bagging out.
You can't leave the house without a purse, so I styled with the above outfit is this beautiful black leather crossbody bag from Bed Stu. The big whip-stitched details give it an ethnic look and show just how much hand detailing goes into making their bags.
Also picture is the Bed Stu Arcane ankle boot, and the Bed Stu Grace stitched belt, which I love because the holes in the belt are part of the design and therefore go all the way around the entire belt, allowing you to go up and down sizes easily.
